ARDO CE Chemical Earthing Electrode
ARDO –CE : The Low Resistive Chemical Earthing Electrode is a high conductive pipe which is 2-3 inch diameter wide, providing a larger surface area for a better connection to the earth and filled with Electrolytic moisture creating material and easy to refill.
An efficient grounding system is critical to personnel safety and uninterrupted operations. But conventional ground rods are typically insufficient for industrial uses where target resistance can be less than 1 ohm. The Ardo CE uses high sensitive electronic equipment to achieve a constant and low-impedance electrical path to the earth, even changing the soil conditions.
Large surface area: The wider 2-3 inch diameter provides a larger surface area for a better connection to the earth.
Electrolytic Material: In the presence of moisture, these materials dissolve and seep out of leach holes along the electrode. The electrolytic material continually increase the soil’s conductivity, further reducing impedance and resistance.
Soil augmentation: Ardo fill is a combination of organic soil materials which optimize the conductivity of the soil around the Ardo CE. Increasing the conductivity can decrease the overall system resistance to the earth which increases the system efficiency.
Easy refills: Every Ardo CE comes with a standard removable cap and access cover for easy maintenance of the ground electrolytic material to be refilled.
Test Joint: The test joint of this pipe is one foot long stranded tape exothermically welded to the body.
A copper Ardo CE has about four times more surface area than a traditional ground rod. This larger surface area helps create the low-impedance connection required to safely channel high-frequency lightning currents to earth.
The Ardo CE can reduce these risks more effectively than other ground rods by providing the most efficient earth interface. In addition, it meets or exceeds relevant design codes and safety standards for protection of personnel, property, and sensitive equipment.
